Eliana Mason

Eliana Mason teamed up with Marybai Huking in 2023 to be amongst the first Blind Travel Foundation grant winners. You can learn more about their project here.

Eliana was born with cataracts and glaucoma, Eliana has navigated life with a visual impairment since birth. This experience ignited a passion for empowering others and breaking down barriers.

Eliana earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Portland State University, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University. Currently a Licensed Counselor Associate, she specializes in working with individuals with disabilities, bridging the gap between mental health awareness and disability advocacy.

But Eliana’s passion for empowerment extends beyond the therapy room. A dedicated athlete, she’s been competing in goalball for over a decade, representing Team USA on the world stage. Her impressive athletic resume includes a bronze medal from the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and a silver medal from the Tokyo 2020 Games. With her sights set on the LA 2028 Paralympics, Eliana is determined to bring home gold for Team USA.

A firm believer in the power of adaptive sports and physical activity, Eliana is passionate about spreading awareness and creating opportunities for others to get involved. She is also a rising public speaker, blending her lived experiences with her professional expertise to inspire audiences and help individuals reframe their limitations and achieve their full potential.
